TechLogbook by DCR – Privacy Policy

TechLogbook by DCR (“App”, “we”, “our”) provides a personal vehicle-maintenance logbook. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is stored, and how it is used.

 

1. Information You Enter in the App

 

The App allows you to manually record data such as:

 

Maintenance notes

 

Dates, place, part number

 

Aircraft information

 

All data you enter stays on your device by default.

 

It is not sent to any external server and is never shared by us.

 

2. Backup & Restore (Optional)

 

You may choose to back up or restore your logbook using:

 

a) Google Drive (Android)

 

When you use the Google Drive backup feature:

 

We request permission to access a folder in your Google Drive.

 

We collect only:

 

Your Google email (to identify your Drive account)

 

A temporary access token (to upload/download the backup file)

 

We do not collect your contacts, photos, full Drive contents, passwords, or any other files. The backup file contains only:

 

Your logbook entries

 

App settings

 

Local database files

 

Backups are stored inside your own Google Drive. We do not store, view, or access your data. You can revoke Google access anytime from your Google Account settings.

 

b) iCloud (iOS)

 

For iOS devices, the App may use iCloud Document Storage to back up and restore your logbook.

 

Data stored in iCloud remains inside your iCloud account.

 

We do not access, collect, or store your iCloud data.

 

Only your logbook data and App settings are included in the backup file.

 

You may disable iCloud access at any time through your device settings.

 

3. What We Do NOT Collect

 

The App does not collect:

 

Personal identity information

 

Contacts, photos, call logs, messages

 

Location data

 

Advertising identifiers

 

Analytics data

 

Device identifiers

 

The App does not use any third-party analytics, ads, or tracking tools.

 

4. Data Sharing

 

We do not share your data with:

 

Third parties

 

Advertisers

 

Analytics companies

 

Any external server

 

Your data is fully under your control.

 

5. Children’s Privacy

 

The App is not intended for children under 13.

 

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

 

6. Security

 

All data stays on your device unless you choose to back it up to your own Google Drive or iCloud account. Please keep your device and cloud accounts secure with a strong password or biometric lock.

 

7. Your Choices

 

You can:

 

Delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the App.

 

Revoke Google Drive or iCloud permissions through account settings.

 

Choose not to use any cloud backup feature.

 

8. Changes to This Policy

 

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. The latest version will always be available on our website or inside the App.
